Alysson Blackwelder

Alysson joined USGBC’s Advocacy team in 2015. As Project Manager, she plans and executes green building advocacy and policy projects, and conducts direct outreach on behalf of USGBC to chapters, members, business allies and government officials. She also conducts policy research and evaluation in areas of priority.

Prior to coming to USGBC, Alysson was a federal lobbyist for a diverse portfolio of clients at a national law firm in Washington, DC. She also served as senior legislative staff for three different Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. An Atlanta native, she graduated from Emory University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English and Political Science.
